Hiya :0)
Every year our school has a huge trivia night, it is our main fundraiser and raises between $8000 and $10000 profit. A fantasic bunch of dedicated parents and kids put a huge amount of planning and work into the event and thanks to the support and generosity of our wonderful surrounding community our tiny little school of 83 kids reaps the benefits by way of resources for their learning.
This is our 9th or 10th event (can't remember, LOL!!) and this years theme is "Flower Power" and back to the 60's.
So it was out with the Fiskars tools, my 12x12 guilotine, no 8 scissors, microtip scissors, 1" circle squeeze punch and flip and twist corner punch to make some nice BIG FUNKY FLOWERS!!
This one is our donation basket to entice our generous school families to donate goodies for the night. Each round has a winner so we need lots of goodies to stuff some big flower pots full for our prize winning recipients.
We now have to make another 10 flowers to decorate our prize packs with.
Lots and lots of 1" circles for the centre using the squeeze punch.
The petals are made by segmenting a full circle into into 8 pie pieces and then rounding the wider corners with the flip and twist corner punch.
My middle circle is the size of a dinner plate, unfortunately my circle template and shapecutter just wasn't quite big enough, so out with the trustee old no 8 scissors.
and a close up of the middle, i popped the black ones on dimensional tape which is a bit hard to tell in the pic and added some kaiser bling to top it off.
So now its onto the next 10, lucky we have some keen helpers :0)
Have a happy night all.
