Shadow Shot Sunday on the Q150 Steam Train.

Finally i am getting around to a Shadow Shot Sunday, it has been quite some time!! Even though i haven't participated for a while (purely a time issue) doesn't mean i don't stop looking for them, it becomes a part of you after a while:0)

I have been working at the kids school, filling in for our admin lady who is on long service, so i was lucky enough to join the kids on the Q150 Steam train that has travelled up from Brisbane.

The P and C very generously paid for the kids to go on the trip and for buses to and from the station. We had an absolute ball, it was so exciting with people lining streets and the highway to wave and toot their horns and all sorts of things. The local Historic Society were dressed in period costume on the station, old cars lined the station, news cameras and paper photographers were everywhere!! Cause we seemed to be one of the only schools and all looking immaculate in our school uniform, we stood out like you know what and looked good on camera, lol!!

So below is my SSS for Hey Harriets Shadow Shot Sunday.  And seeing as i took as usual LOTS of photos, i decided to include a few extras.

Oodles of Doodles stamp set and a RAK

hello!! Well i haven't got any photos of my Wedding Card Class that i taught at Paper Possibilities this morning, ahh, that might have something to do with the fact that i finished it at a late hour last night and ran out of time before the class this morning to photograph it!! It was received well and the girls as usual did a fabulous job of their creations. 

Now, I thought i would let you guys in on a RAK that i have going over on the FISKARS ANZ BLOG at the moment, it ends tomorrow night, if you like making cards there is a AUSTRALIAN STAMPING AND PAPERCRAFT MAGAZINE up for grabs, just leave a comment to be in the draw!!

Hi, Annette here dropping by to share some cards.

I was thrilled when Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft arrived on the doorstep and one of my cards was on the front cover :0)

Thats it on the bottom right hand corner.

 

  

 

It was a set i did where i used some Fiskars stamps from the "Oodles of Doodles" set.

You might remember the squiggly frame i used on some school book labels for the kids.  It would also make a good journalling block don't you think?

And the team at Stamping and Papercraft always do a fabulous job of photographing and making our cards look the part!!

 

  

 

Now it just so happens that the next edition of Stamping and Papercraft arrived today (volume 15 no 1) and for some reason, not sure why, they have sent me 2 copies!! ;0)

More for you from the Jamiks class kit.....

Hello!!

Well after packing away or should i say "starting to pack away" the leftover product from the class kit for Jamiks, i decided on Friday night at about 8.30pm to see what else i could get out of the leftover product.

Here they are....

 

3 cards (I think the girls actually got 4 in their kits) I have used the leftover scraps of paper lying on the table, I have used the other half of the journalling blocks that i used on the right hand side of the layout you can see here. Because there were lots of bits and pieces i have inked everything around the edges with pinecone ink, to pull it all together.

The alphas out of this kit come up beautifully sanded.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and they do most of the time, lol!!

So not bad hey, 3 layout and 3 cards out of 1 kit and still a sheet of paper and some embellishments and alphas left over!!

Happy with that.

We had a great time at the class - as always a great bunch of girls and a very generous host - Karyn :0)

A lovely email from a class member last night to say how much she enjoyed it and looked forward to the next one - a great way to end the day, thanks N :0)

I am off to fold the washing ...sigh...

JAMIKS THIS SATURDAY.... A LAYOUT

Phew!!!!

Finally i have finished!!!

Sorry Tully girls i am really dragging the chain this week, this is what we will create.....

The title inspired by this song  can be interpreted however you see fit, and if you really don't want to take a photo of yourself girls, (but I hope you do) then you could slot another photo of kids, partners etc in.

Go on be brave, if i can do it you can, black and white hides all sorts of things, lol!! hold the camera at arms length, nice and tall and click - its that simple!! Take heaps and then choose the one you like.

We take photos of everyone else but rarely ourselves as we are usually weilding the camera, so this is your chance, after all regardless of what we think our kids will want photos of us as well as them. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So you will need a 7"x 5" photo or a couple of photos that will fit into this measurement or thereabouts.

Your general toolkit details can be found HERE as well as any other specific class requirements for the day.

EDITED TO SAY: THIS CLASS IS EXTREMELY GENEROUS WITH PRODUCT AND YOU WILL HAVE PLENTY LEFTOVER TO MAKE AT LEAST 3 CARDS AND MORE! AND I WILL HAVE SOME EXAMPLES WITH ME FROM LEFTOVER PRODUCT.
