hello!! Well i haven't got any photos of my Wedding Card Class that i taught at Paper Possibilities this morning, ahh, that might have something to do with the fact that i finished it at a late hour last night and ran out of time before the class this morning to photograph it!! It was received well and the girls as usual did a fabulous job of their creations.
Now, I thought i would let you guys in on a RAK that i have going over on the FISKARS ANZ BLOG at the moment, it ends tomorrow night, if you like making cards there is a AUSTRALIAN STAMPING AND PAPERCRAFT MAGAZINE up for grabs, just leave a comment to be in the draw!!
This is the post below as it reads on the Fiskars Blog, just click on the link to leave a comment if you wish :0) Oh and if you already have - thanks ;0)
Oodles of Doodles stamp set......and a RAK :0)
Hi, Annette here dropping by to share some cards.
I was thrilled when Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft arrived on the doorstep and one of my cards was on the front cover :0)
Thats it on the bottom right hand corner.
It was a set i did where i used some Fiskars stamps from the "Oodles of Doodles" set.
And the team at Stamping and Papercraft always do a fabulous job of photographing and making our cards look the part!!
Now it just so happens that the next edition of Stamping and Papercraft arrived today (volume 15 no 1) and for some reason, not sure why, they have sent me 2 copies!! ;0)
So if you would like some card inspiration, leave a comment RIGHT HERE ON THE FISKARS ANZ BLOG, and i will randomly pick a winner, on .............. lets say Sunday night, and this SPECIAL EDITION - CARDMAKING FOR ANY OCCASION, will be heading your way.
In point form!!! Our annual Trivia night fundraiser at school. The theme "Medievil"...
AMAZING amount of work to transform the school for the night...
i enjoyed working on some chalk art for the drinks menu, something i would love to be able to afford one day - to take part in a course to learn how to do it properly.
Also on my list was to make 200 of the little cakes you can see here, to make the desserts for the night. We cater to 180 seated guests - 30 tables of 6 people, this year we were a little short with 27 tables sold. Needless to say many hours put into this night - awesome result - over $6500 raised, down a little on last year but still fantastic - a very DEDICATED group of people to work with ;0)
Creatively i had layouts due on the Fiskars blog....
for BOM prompts (book of me) This was the lyrics to the song we danced to for our wedding waltz.
And this one about my favourite tunes right now, loved the big coloured music notes, oil pastels give such vibrant colours...
and this one about our childhood holiday haunts, which just happens to be where i also met my hubby when i was 15 years old-mum and dad still have their caravan down there.
Our budding baker/pastry chef has finished his 3 months probation and been signed up for his apprenticeship "officially". He is enjoying it and even wakes up BEFORE his 3.20am alarm call. (thank god, finally!!)
When the bakers hat goes on at home you know he means business!!!..
shepherds pie for dinner, made from scratch AND potato on top beautifully piped!
devoured in 5 minutes flat.
Our baby turned 9
and this is the contraption she begged to have for her birthday. A scooter wing!! Each side goes in and out like wings flapping as she flies up the street. If i felt a little more flexible i might just hop on myself, my legs would just gorgeous ;0)
birthday cake, 1 of the 3 made!! school, party, home!! Over chocolate cake at the moment, wonder why, lol!!
******* I took part in a "Local Literacy Legends" workshop day at school last week, celebrating "2009 the year of Creativity". You can read all about it here.
************* Last weeks class at Paper Possibilities looked like this....
Great morning was had by all.
So yep, like everyone I have been busy and blogging had to take a back seat.
I have been looking through some photos and thought i would share a few sneak peeks of some upcoming work i have done for Ngaire Bartlams Scrapbook Creations Top 10.
Now i can't tell you any details, but i can say this one will be in Scrapbook Creations Issue 65.
And these 2 will be in Scrapbook Creations Issue 69...
My first ever time published in Scrapbook Creations so i am a wee bit excited :0)))
I had a delightful class this morning in at Paper Possibilities, with some lovely regulars; some visiting crafters from Brisbane and i caught up with a lady that did one of my classes years ago, when i started teaching at Platypus Creek Stamping and Papercraft. We made this set for mothers day
And i just can't resist adding here (cause i know she stops by here for a visit)- I hope the 2 very responsible adult ladies that were late to class this morning, for reasons i can't disclose, lol!!, managed to make it home without having to stop and fertilise a tree this time, thank goodness young Max was there to be the responsible driver!! Sleep well girls ;0)
Enjoy the rest of your weekend all.
Thanks for stopping by, its lovely to read all your comments and visit you too!!
